According to the Salmon Test Site Radiological Monitoring Report 2013, an eight-year “special study” by the Division of Radiological Health was created to study the levels of tritium concentration. These samples were collected monthly. Areas this study focused on were HMH Series, the Overflow Pond near SGZ, Half Moon Creek, the Pond West of Ground Zero (Beaver Pond), HM-S and the REECo Pit. The study concluded a consistent decrease of tritium levels.
